Zac Efron is an American actor who rose to prominence for his acting capabilities and his hard-to-miss-out-on good looks. Starting it off in school productions, Efron soon progressed to theatre and followed it up with guest roles on popular television series such as ‘Firefly’, ‘CSI: Miami’ and ‘The Gaurdian.Â
What turned the fate of Efron’s career was the teen musical television film ‘High School Musical’. The television film made Zac Efron a household name. He reprised his character, often called his best role till date, in the two forthcoming sequels ‘High School Musical 2’ and ‘High School Musical 3’. Thereafter, he starred in several hit films, such as ‘Hairspray’, ‘Neighbours’, ‘We Are  Your Friends’, ‘Neighbours 2: Sorority Rising’, ‘The Baywatch’ and ‘The Disaster Artist’.Â
Efron has tasted success and failure in equal measures. Though almost all his films have fared well at the box office, there were some that were panned by the critics. These include: ‘The Paperboy’, ‘Charlie St Cloud’, ‘The Lucky One’, ‘That Awkward Moment’ and ‘Dirty Grandpa’. All these films received negative comments from the critics but were commercially successful.Â
