American actor, screenwriter, director and producer, Vin Diesel is best known for his role as Dominic Toretto in ‘The Fast and the Furious’ series for which he has won multiple awards including ‘Best On Screen Team’ at the MTV Movie Awards 2002 and Best Screen Duo at the MTV Movie Awards 2014. His debut feature film ‘Strays’ (1997) was selected for the Sundance Festival. His other hits include the Oscar winning movie ‘Saving Private Ryan’ (1999), ‘Fast Five’ (2011) and ‘Furious 7’ (2016). His voice roles include the video games ‘The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay’ and ‘Wheelman’.
His movie ‘The Chronicles of Riddick’ (2004) is considered a failure at the box office due to the high budget compared to the earnings from the film. He had a clash with a few of the male stars from ‘The Fast and the Furious’ due to which he took a break from the series. His movie ‘Babylon A.D.’ that was released during this period proved to be another failure. This prompted him to get back to ‘The Fast and the Furious’ series that got him back on track.
