Vanessa Redgrave is an English actress and politician, best known for her title role in the 1977 film ‘Julia’ for which she earned an ‘Academy Award’ nomination. She is a six-time nominee of the prestigious Academy Award.
Vanessa started her career as ‘Helena’ in the stage production of Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream.’ She had her first starring role in the1960 play called ‘The Tiger and the Horse,’ followed by another big play named ‘As You Like It’ (1961).
She had her first credited film role in 1958, in the film ‘Behind the Mask. ‘She had her first starring role in the film ‘Morgan – A Suitable Case for Treatment’ (1966) for which she earned an ‘Oscar,’ ‘BAFTA,’ and a ‘Golden Globe’ nomination.
She has appeared in more than 50 films throughout her career. She has also appeared in TV shows such as ‘Call the Midwife’ (2016-present) and ‘Black Box’ (2014).
