Tracy Morgan made his name as a cast member of the variety show ‘Saturday Night Live’ (1996 – 2003). He was nominated for an ‘Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series’ for his performance in the sitcom ’30 Rock’ (2006 – 2013).Â
His attempt with his own sitcom ‘The Tracy Morgan Show’ in 2003 did not see much success and had to be cancelled after one season. He has made several guest appearances on television of which he was highly rated for his performance in the comedy series ‘Human Giant’ (2007 – 2008). His recent appearances in ‘The Twilight Zone’ and ‘Last Week Tonight With John Oliver’ received a thumbs up from viewers in 2019.  Â
During his early career, he played minor roles in movies like ‘Jo Jo Dancer, Your Life is Calling’ (1986) and ‘A Thin Line Between Love and Hate’ (1996). His first major film role came as ‘Troy’ in the comedy ’30 Years to Life’ (2001). He continued receiving mixed reviews till he finally gained recognition with his role in the comedy film ‘Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me’ (2014).Â
