Thomas Jane is an American actor who successfully turned his passion into his profession. Jane loved to act since young and soon decided to make a career out of it.
Before his Hollywood debut, Jane made his big screen debut in the Indian Film Industry for a Telegu film, ‘Padamati Sandhya Ragam’ in 1987. Immediately after that, he moved to Hollywood but struggled to find a break. Finally in 1992, Jane found a side role in the film ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’. Following this, he did supporting roles in several high-profile films, including ‘The Crow: City of Angels’, ‘Boogie Nights’, ‘The Thin Red Line’, ‘Thursday’ and ‘Magnolia’. It was his film ‘61*’ that brought Jane critical acclaim and appreciation. His filmography surged a new high as he delivered some spectacular hits such as ‘The Deep Blue Sea’, ‘Stander’, ‘The Punisher’ and ‘Dreamcatcher’.
Thomas Jane donned the hat of a director with the film ‘Dark Country’. The movie, however, fared averagely at the box office. Jane’s good luck however did not last for every film and there were some that bombed badly at the box office. ‘The Tripper’, ‘Pawn Shop Chronicles’ and ‘Sirius’ are some of his movies that bombed at the box office.
