Jack Black is an American actor, director, comedian, musician, singer and producer. He has earned worldwide fame and recognition for his talent and comedy timing. He made his acting debut in the movie, ‘Bob Roberts’ in 1992, however, his first on screen appearance happened in a TV commercial (for a videogame) at the age of 13 in 1982.
He has starred in many successful movies, including ‘High Fidelity’ (2000), ‘Shallow Hal’ (2001), ‘School of Rock’ (2003), ‘Shark Tale’ (2004), ‘King Kong’ (2005), ‘The Holiday’ (2006), ‘Nacho Libre’ (2006), ‘Margot at the Wedding’ (2007), ‘Kung Fu Panda’ (2008), ‘Tropic Thunder’ (2008), ‘Gulliver’s Travel’ (2010), ‘Bernie’ (2011), Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011), ‘The Big Year’ (2011), ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ (2016) etc.
His highest grossing movie till date is ‘Kung Fu Panda’, where he gave the voice for the ‘Po’, the Panda. His top grossing movie in a lead role remains to be ‘School of Rock’. He has received two Golden Globe nominations for ‘School of Rock’ and ‘Bernie’.
His worst movies include ‘The Never Ending Story III’ (1994), ‘Envy’ (2004), ‘Saving Silverman’ (2001) and ‘Year One’ (2009) etc. He is set to star in remake of ‘Jumanji’ in 2018.
