Regina Hall started her acting career at the age of twenty-six, with a television commercial. ‘Loving’ marked her television debut, and it was followed by guest appearances on police drama ‘New York Undercover.’ She portrayed Candace "Candy" Sparks in the romantic comedy-drama film ‘The Best Man.’ Although it was a small role, yet she left a lasting impression with her performance.
She gained more recognition when she starred in ‘Scary Movie,’ the slasher comedy film. For portraying Lisa Conroy in ‘Support the Girls,’ she earned critical acclaim, bagged in the ‘Independent Spirit Award’ and ‘Gotham Award’ nominations and became the first African American to win the ‘New York Film Critics Circle Award.’
