Peter Falk was a famous American actor. He became known for his role of Lieutenant Columbo in the TV series ‘Columbo’, which aired from 1968 to 2003. He had won four Primetime Awards for his work in the show. Also known for his work in films, he has earned Oscar nominations twice for ‘Murder, Inc’ (1960) and ‘Pocketful of Miracles’ (1961).
His best and critically acclaimed works include the TV show ‘Columbo’ as well as the films ‘A Woman Under the Influence’, (1974), ‘Murder By Death’ (1976), ‘The Great Muppet Caper’ (1981), ‘Wings of Desire’ (1987) and ‘The Princess Bride’ (1987).
Some of his financially successful films include the 1963 epic comedy film ‘It’s a Mad, Mad World’, the 1965 comedy film ‘The Great Race’ and 1987 adventure film ‘The Princess Bride’. His films which were not successful include ‘Happy New Year’ (1987) as well as ‘Tune in Tomorrow’ (1990).

Oscar exploits the situation by claiming to have killed the shark himself, only to find out that he was the son of fearsome crime lord Don Edward Lino.
