Paul Montgomery Shore is an American actor, stand-up comedian, TV host, and voice actor. His career on TV started in 1989 as an MTV VJ. Not only did he host ‘Totally Pauly’ (1990 – 1995) but also MTV’s spring break parties.
Soon he made a transition to acting. He started off by appearing in small roles in movies like ‘For Keeps’ (1988), ‘Lost Angels’ (1989), and ‘Phantom of the Mall: Eric's Revenge’ (1990). Some of Pauly Shore’s best-known movies are ‘Encino Man’ (1992), ‘Class Act’ (1992), ‘Son in Law’ (1993), and ‘In the Army Now’ (1994). None of them were major box-office blockbusters and were critically panned.
His unsuccessful run with movies continued with ‘My Big Fat Independent Movie’ (2005) and ‘Stonerville’ (2010). ‘Pauly Shore Is Dead’ (2003) and ‘Heckler’ (2008), are considered to be Pauly Shore’s best movies whilst ‘Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star’ (2011) is his worst. Shore has enjoyed considerable success in voice acting with movies like ‘A Goofy Movie’ (1995), ‘Casper: A Spirited Beginning’ (1997), ‘King of the Hill’ (1999), and ‘Liverspots and Astronots’ (2018).
Encino Man is a comedy film, which tells the story of two college guys, who find a caveman in their backyard and try to introduce him to modern life. They even take him to their college, and pass him off as a student.
