Patrick Stewart is one of the most accomplished English actors of all times. He has received multiple nominations for Academy Awards, BAFTA Awards and Golden Globe Awards throughout his long career. He is best known for the film adaptation of ‘X-Men’ comics playing Professor Charles Xavier, and Captain Jean-Luc Pacard in the highly accomplished ‘Star Trek’ series. He started his acting career with the 1975 film ‘Hedda’ and became a household name in America upon starring in the ‘Star Trek’ series, one of the most successful American TV series’ of all times.
After that, Patrick Stewart played key roles in a series of notable films such as ‘Gunman’, ‘The Trainmaster’, ‘A Christmas Carol’ and ‘Conspiracy Theory’. Another major career breakthrough for him came with the ‘X-Men’ series in the late 90s, where he became a cast regular as Professor X/Charles Xavier and the character he reprised in seven next ‘X-Men’ are the best known roles of his career. His filmography further grew with some more films at the turn of the century such as ‘Ted’, ‘Hamlet’, ‘King of Texas’, ‘Safe House’ and ‘Match’.
