Michael Keaton is a prolific American actor, producer, and director. He played some unimportant roles in some films and TV shows before he rose to fame playing humorous roles in sitcoms, such as ‘The Mary Tyler Moore Hour’ and ‘All’s Fair.' His comic timing resonated with filmmakers and he became part of some notable comedy films, such as ‘Night Shift,’ ‘Mr. Mom,' ‘Johnny Dangerously,’ and ‘Beetlejuice.’ However, none of his roles would bring him the fame that ‘Batman’ did. Taking on the role of caped crusader in the Tim Burton film turned out to be a major career breakthrough for Keaton and he also appeared in the sequel ‘Batman Forever’.

Some of the prominent films of his later career are ‘Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), ‘Live from Baghdad,’ and ‘The Company.'
Apart from these successful films, he has also appeared in some failed films, such as ‘White Noise’, ‘Jack Frost’ and ‘Desperate Measures.'
