She was the first thespian to have bagged in multiple ‘Academy Awards.’ She also holds the feat of being the first actress to win them back-to-back. She was also the longest-lived Academy recipient till 2020. She kicked-off her acting career at the age of sixteen. ‘Escapade’ marked her first American film role. She earned the ‘Oscar’ for her phenomenal performance in ‘The Great Ziegfeld.’ She again bagged in an ‘Oscar’ for her role in ‘The Good Earth,’ which was a dramatic contrast to her previous role. Ironically, she appeared in a series of insignificant roles which proved detrimental to her career.
