Joss Ackland has performed more than one hundred and thirty television and film roles. For his performance in ‘White Mischief,’ where he portrayed Jock Delves, he earned a ‘BAFTA Award’ nomination. In 1960s and 1970s he worked steadily in films and television. At the height of the Cold War, Soviet submarine captain Marko Ramius, commanding the latest nearly undetectable nuclear missile submarine Red October, defies orders and sets course for America's east coast.
