John Rhys-Devies is best known as Harrison Fords’ comic sidekick, Sallah, in Paramount’s adventure films ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ (1981) and ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’ (1989). His other highly rated performances on the big screen came in ‘Shogun’ (1980), ‘Victor Victoria’ (1982), and ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers’ (2002). He lent his voice to the character Treebeard in ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King’ (2003). His movies ‘In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale’ (2006) and ’31 North Raw: Night of the Wolf’ (2010) received lukewarm response and average review.
Davies has lent his voice for video games like ‘Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger’ and ‘Lego Dimensions’.
His performances in the television series ‘Under Cover’ (1991), ‘Justice League’ (2002), and ‘Psych’ (2012) were highly rated. However, his role as Horace in ‘Legend of the Seeker’ failed to make the same impact.
