John Malkovich is an American actor, producer and director. He was highly appreciated for his roles in ‘Places in the Heart’ and ‘In the Line of Fire’. He is also remembered for his roles in ‘Being John Malkovich’ (1999) and ‘Burn After Reading’ (2008).
Malkovich started his career with Sam Shepard’s play ‘True West’ (1980) for which he won an award. His first film role was in Robert Altman’s film ‘A Wedding’ where he worked as an extra. But his breakthrough performance was in ‘Places in the Heart’ (1984) which was appreciated by critics and audience. In the following years, he starred in many movies which include ‘Queens Logic’ (1991), ‘Jennifer 8’ (1992), ‘The Ogre’ (1996), ‘Being John Malkovich’ (1999), ‘Hotel’ (2001), ‘Johnny English’ (2003), ‘Eragon’ (2006), ‘Burn After Reading’ (2008), ‘RED’ (2010), ‘Penguins of Madagascar’ (2014) and ‘I Love You, Daddy’ (2017).
Malkovich has acted in over 70 films which mean he has seen fair amount of success and failure.
