

Gena Rowlands is an American actress. In her career spanning over six decades, she has appeared in several stage, film and television projects. Following guest appearances in many TV shows during 1950s, she made her film debut with ‘The High Cost of Loving’ (1958). She followed it with performances in the TV series ‘Laramie – The Run to Tumavaca’ (1959) and ‘Alfred Hitchcock Presents’ (1960).
Gena Rowlands then went to act in numerous films including ‘Lonely Are the Brave' (1962), 'A Child Is Waiting' (1963), 'Faces' (1968), 'Machine Gun McCain' (1969), 'A Woman Under the Influence' (1974), 'Two-Minute Warning' (1976), 'Opening Night' (1977), 'Gloria' (1980),'Another Woman' (1988), 'Crazy in Love' (1922), 'Unhook the Stars' (1996), 'The Notebook' (2004), 'The Skeleton Key' (2005) and 'Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks' (2014). She has also starred in the TV films 'Thursday's Child' (1983), 'An Early Frost' (1985), 'The Betty Ford Story' (1987), 'Hysterical Blindness' (2003) and 'What If God Were the Sun?' (2007).
