Famous yesteryear American film, television and stage actress Elizabeth Montgomery made her acting debut in 1951 with American television series ‘Robert Montgomery Presents’ presented by her actor-filmmaker father Robert Montgomery. She later made her debut in films with ‘The Court-Martial of Billy Mitchell’ (1955) and in Broadway with ‘Late Love’ (1956) with the latter winning her a ‘Theater World Award’. She is best recognized for portraying Samantha Stephens in the American television series ‘Bewitched’ (1964–1972) that fetched her several nominations for Golden Globe Award and Primetime Emmy Award.
She followed footsteps of her father in the showbiz and with time became an accomplished actress in her own right. The expansive film career of Montgomery is inclusive of several notable works featuring some of her best roles, but it also includes works that have been rejected as her worst performances.
