

Douglas Henshall in a Scottish actor who is best known for his role as Professor Nick Cutter in the science fiction fantasy series ‘Primeval’ (2007 – 2011). He received mixed reviews for his performances as Joe Astell in the television miniseries ‘South Riding’ (2011) and Jimmy Perez in the crime drama series ‘Shetland’ (2014 - 2018). Henshall has recently narrated the storyline for the series ‘Secret Agent Selection: WW2’ (2018) and ‘Churchill’s Secret Agents: The New Recruits’ (2018).
His highest rated performances on the big screen are in the movies ‘Angles and Insects’ (1995), ‘Lawless Heart’ (2002), ‘Iona’ (2015) and ‘The Salvation’ (2015). His performances as Marcus in ‘French Film’ (2009) and Alan Campbell in ‘Dorian Gray’ (2009) received mixed reviews. ‘Crossing the Line’ (1990), ‘It’s All about Love’ (2004) and ‘Free Jimmy’ failed at the box office.

Based on Oscar Wilde’s novel The Picture of Dorian Gray, the film is centered on a young man called Dorian Gray, who arrives in late Victorian London to inherit an estate.
