

Carolyn Jones was an American actress, best known for playing ‘The Existentialist’ in the film ‘The Bachelor Party’ (1957), which also earned her a ‘Academy Award’ nomination for’ Best Supporting Actress.’ She is also known for playing ‘Morticia Addams’ in the original ‘The Addams Family’ series. She made her film debut in the 1952 film ‘The Turning Point.’ In her career, she appeared in more than 30 films, including ‘Off Limits’ (1952), ‘Make Haste to Live’ (1954), ‘The Seven Year Itch’ (1955), ‘The Man Who Knew Too Much’ (1956), ‘The Opposite Sex’ (1956), ‘Marjorie Morningstar’ (1958), ‘How the West Was Won’ (1962), ‘Heaven with a Gun’ (1969), and ‘Eaten Alive.’ She made her TV debut in the TV show ‘Mr and Mrs. North,’ in 1952. Her other TV show appearances came in shows such as ‘Burke's Law’ (1963-1964), ‘Ironside’ (1974), ‘Wonder Woman’ (1976-1977), ‘Fantasy Island’ (1979-1982), and ‘Capitol’ (1982).
