

Betty White is an American actress and comedian who is the Guinness record-holder for 'Longest TV Career for an Entertainer (Female)' for her eight-decade-long career. Her best roles, as Sue Ann Nivens on 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show' (1973–77) and Rose Nylund on 'The Golden Girls' (1985–92), have won her 'Emmy Awards', with the latter also earning 'Golden Globe' nominations.
Her first sitcom was 'Life with Elizabeth' (1953-55), which she wrote and produced with George Tibbles. Since achieving stardom, she has appeared on many TV series, of which the most recent are 'Boston Legal' (2005-08), 'The Bold and the Beautiful' (2006-09) and 'Hot in Cleveland' (2010-15). She has also appeared on numerous game shows, such as 'Password', 'Match Game', and 'The $25,000 Pyramid', and has received a 'Daytime Emmy' for hosting the game show 'Just Men!' (1983). In 2010, following an online campaign in her support, she hosted a 'Saturday Night Live' episode, which earned her the seventh overall 'Emmy' in her career.
