Anna Kendrick is an American Oscar-nominated actress whose forte lies in her versatility. Excepting for donning a superhero’s spandex, she has done it all – comedies, musicals, drama, thriller and so on.
Â
A theatre artist initially, Kendrik took the big leap to films in 2003 for the musical drama ‘Camp’ and has ever since not looked back. Five years down the line, it was fantasy romance ‘Twilight’ that brought her to prominence. Although a supporting role, it helped Kendrik showcase her acting skills and became a driving force in the development of her current filmography which includes hits such as ‘Twilight’ sequels, ‘Up In The Air’, ‘50/50’, ‘Pitch Perfect’ series, ‘Into the Woods’ and so on.
Kendrik has had her share of duds as well. ‘What To Expect When You Are Expecting’, ‘Life After Beth’, ‘Table 19’, ‘The Marc Please Experience’ are some of her worst films till date. This, however, is in stark contrast to her act of an ambitious college graduate in ‘Up in The Air’ that not only serves as her best role till date, but has also earned her prestigious nominations at the Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, and BAFTA Awards.
