Alain Delon is a French actor, producer, and actor. Although he never made it big in Hollywood, he became one of French cinema’s greatest actors.
Alain Delon made his movie debut with the French movie ‘Send a Woman When the Devil Fails’ (1957). He landed his first lead role soon after in ‘Christine’ (1958) and had his first blockbuster in ‘Women Are Weak’ (1959). Continuing his journey in European cinema, Alain Delon starred in some of his highest grossing movies in ‘Plein Soleil’ (1960), ‘Rocco and His Brothers’ (1960), ‘Famous Love Affairs’ (1961), and ‘The Leopard’ (1963).
‘The Last Adventure’ (1967), ‘The Sicilian Clan’ (1969), ‘Borsalino’ (1970), ‘Indian Summer’ (1972), and ‘Nouvelle Vague’ (1990), are some of Alain Delon’s best movies. ‘Monsieur Klein’ (1976) earned him the ‘César Award’. He, however, faced failure in Hollywood. Some of Alain Delon’s worst flops were ‘Once a Thief’ (1965), ‘Texas Across the River’ (1966), ‘The Assassination of Trotsky’ (1972), and ‘The Concorde ... Airport ’79’ (1979). After ‘Une chance sur deux’ (1998) failed, he retired from acting.
